The 43^rd annual North Texas Irish Festival is on the horizon!

You can see it if you shade your eyes just right! We are so excited for this one for a number of reasons. When this wonderful festival was first conceived of, it was an event created by musicians who loved Irish traditional music, for musicians and an audience who also loved Irish traditional music. We are still one of the only large Irish festivals in the country who place a huge significance on the traditional music of Ireland. We definitely go on tangents now and then, out to Scotland and the Maritimes and we embrace the rock and roll of it all sometimes, but traditional music has always had most of our focus. We have come home to that this year, and in a big way. As you will see if you navigate over to our Headliners page, we have some Irish trad music royalty headed our way. A pretty fabulous representative of Scotland as well, and local favorites from the Air Force are coming back to us this year.

Our market features amazing craftsmen and  among other things you'll find Viking themed products, wood carvings, amazing textiles, leather products, furs, authors, henna, books, pewter, and facepainting.

We have three stages of entertainment along with many performers on the grounds. There's always something to see and enjoy!

Feasting

Enjoy entertainment and terrific food at Heimdall's Horn a' Plenty and Thor's Feast Hall, or visit our other food stops for coffee, homemade root beer, ice cream, kettle corn and much more.

Inspired by Pop-culture & classics like Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Harry Potter, Tomb Raider, and American Horror Story, The Grimoire Exhibition is a folklore-themed market & exhibition that works to bring together various aspects of archaeology & history, tarot, folklore, witchcraft, renaissance, Halloween, couture, supernatural, strange things, & metaphysical items (crystals, mediumship, reiki, psychics, candles, herbology, fairytales, fragrance, & professional businesses). 🎓 This is a themed exhibition. Fashion & Costumes are encouraged.

A Celebration of Celtic Life and Culture

High in the Mountains of Western North Carolina the ancient Celtic spirit beckons. Answering the call, as hundreds of tartan banners unfurl, are the sounds of bagpipes echoing through the valley, and once again, thousands of kilt-clad Scots make their way to MacRae Meadows for their annual gathering and games. Nowhere in the New World is there a place more reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands than the home of America’s grandest Highland Games—Grandfather Mountain, North Carolina.

Visitors discovered the richness of Irish history and culture through literary and historical presentations. Hands-on workshops were offered throughout the weekend at the Music and Cultural Workshop stages.

The Central Florida Highland Games are held in the Central Winds Park, which is located in the beautiful city of Winter Springs, Florida. If you live near one of the satellite parking areas we recommend walking or driving to one and taking our FREE shuttle bus. Remember to purchase a Games Program which includes a map and list of all scheduled Events--available at all Free Shuttle Bus locations and at the Main Gate.
